A biological community is an interacting group of various species in a common location. For example, a forest of trees and undergrowth plants, inhabited by animals and rooted in soil containing bacteria and fungi, makes a biological community. Each community is made up of much different organisms, plants and animals. For the biological community to survive and thrive, a balance must be maintained between consumption and production of resources.

A biological community is important because the whole eco system is reliant on certain organisms, plants and animals. If one aspect of the biological is threatened then this could have a serious impact on the rest of the community. For example if part of an animals food chain disappears then this could affect other parts of the food chain. All aspects of the biological community depend on each other
There are various things that can have a negative impact such as pollution, deforestation, lack of land and less resources.
